MIA LEV PHOTO: MY vision

Our stories, our memories, are the most important thing in this life- they are the only thing that remain when we do not. The way we laughed, the way we saw the world, the way we loved and cared for those around us- that’s what people remember. With weddings, the same is true. You get ONE day, one fleeting day to create memories, celebrate your love story, with all of your favorite people in the same place- when does that ever happen again. Once it’s over, what do you want to remember? The smiling faces, the tears shed, the applause after your first kiss, the reaction to your vows, the party on the dance floor? Picture these memories hanging on your walls, what do you see? Whatever it is, whatever’s most special to you, is what I am dedicating to documenting: authentically, artistically, for you.

With my documentary-style approach, I don’t interrupt your moments; I help you create them, turn them into lasting memories (see “Why Documentary Style” section below for more information)! Whether it’s your wedding day, a couples or portrait session, my goal is to document what’s most important to you. Let’s turn your moments into memories. Are you ready?

My passion isn’t simply for beautiful photos, or fine art, but for the people and things in those photos that make it art: the in-between moments we often miss, belly laughs, the kisses, the tears shed, make our moments into art. All of these things deserve to be remembered, and our memories are the best investment there is. I want your day, your moment, & all it brings to be remembered - to be felt - by you and for you. You get to be present + in the moment, and I get to document it with photos that will bring back all those intimate & fuzzy feels that the day originally brought.

Have you ever seen a painting, or a heart stopping landscape that gives you goosebumps and catches your breath? Or read a book or watched a movie that evoked the warm & cozy feelings of nostalgia? I want that for you. I want your session or wedding day to feel straight out of a movie, and I want your photos to give you goosebumps, steal your breath away, make your heart skip a beat. Yes, you can feel that from your own photos, and I believe you will- if you allow me the privilege of creating them for you.

  • So why the heart logo?
    Firstly, the heart is just freaking cool- and we literally can’t live without it. But why choose it to represent my business, to represent me? Well, firstly + more obviously: our hearts are used a lot metaphorically to represent our inner person: who we are - and I care A LOT about who we are, what our stories are, and helping you tell yours; sharing your heart through my photos is what I love! Secondly + less obviously; Lev is actually my middle name, and it means “heart” in Hebrew. Seems random, I know, but I’m actually half Israeli and I grew up speaking the language! Hebrew still holds so much romance, creativity, and depth in its vocabulary, and I LOVE. IT. Every name has meaning and tells a story about who you are as a person and I just think that’s beautiful. Clearly, I highly value meaning, storytelling, and romance- documenting it all is just a huuuuge bonus!

    To me, it’s simple: life is art. your story is art. you are art.

  • I’ve always seen the world a bit differently, felt it a little differently- kind of like I’m constantly watching life unfold as if it were a movie on the big screen. I think in cinema, I daydream in scenes and background music. I want you to see your life, your story the same way! I don’t want to interrupt your moments; I want to help you create them, create memories! I believe my camera & I can do that for you.
